Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

The rules for our text updates. Plain English, no tricks.

Effective July 8, 2026

The short version

You only get texts if you checked the opt-in box. You can stop anytime by replying STOP. Standard message and data rates apply. We never sell or share your number. That is the whole program. The rest is detail.

About Together Strong AZ

Together Strong AZ is a nonpartisan, community-first civic organization serving Prescott Valley and Yavapai County, Arizona. We provide research, plain-language explainers, event alerts, and practical tools that help residents follow local decisions and take part in them. This page covers the terms of our text messaging program.

How you opt in

You consent to receive our text messages by checking the text messaging opt-in checkbox on our signup form, or by checking the "Texts" consent box on our paper sign-up sheet at in-person events. Providing a phone number alone does not opt you in, the checkbox is never pre-selected, and consent is not a condition of signing up, donating, or receiving any service.

If you opt in, you will receive recurring informational text messages from Together Strong AZ, including updates on local issues, meetings, events, and ways to get involved.

Program details

  • You will receive recurring messages. Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent. For assistance, reply HELP to any message.
  • Customer support: reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected].
  • Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

For full details on how we collect and handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. No silent edits.
