Who we are
Together Strong AZ is a nonpartisan, community-first civic organization serving Prescott Valley and Yavapai County, Arizona. We provide research, plain-language explainers, event alerts, and practical tools that help residents follow local decisions and take part in them. Questions about this policy? What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number (optional), and city or ZIP code when you sign up, volunteer, RSVP to an event, donate, or contact us.
- Donation details. If you donate, your payment is handled securely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic site data. Our website runs on NationBuilder, which uses cookies and collects standard technical information (like browser type and pages visited) to keep the site working and show us how it is used.
How we use it
- Sending the email updates and action alerts you signed up for
- Sending city-specific local alerts based on your city or ZIP
- Sending text messages, but only if you opted in (see the texting section below)
- Processing donations and sending receipts
- Responding when you contact us
- Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it
That is it. We do not use your information for anything else.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We never share your information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- The only outside parties that handle your data are the service providers that run our infrastructure (our website platform, email delivery, and donation processing), and they may only use it to provide those services to us. They cannot use it for their own purposes.
Text messaging
If you check the text messaging opt-in box on our signup form (or on our paper event sign-up sheet) and provide your mobile number, you consent to receive recurring informational text messages from Together Strong AZ, such as updates on local issues, meetings, events, and ways to get involved. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Your choices
- Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.

Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we treat your data the way we would want ours treated.
Children
Our website and communications are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. No silent edits.
